Today was fairly simple, we packed up our camp and headed away from Visken, determined to reach Fränsta. We felt like we had a good pace and fell into a comfortable rhythm, taking time to walk in silence and have our own thoughts.
One thing I have noticed is that Sweden had a lot of classic cars on the road. It’s been great to see so many nice classics out and about. It makes me feel a bit like I’m in a film when a huge cadalliac comes around the corner.
We stopped for a Fika break at a harbour today and we then stopped at a petrol station for lunch where we bumped into our Norwegian friends again.
The landscape was a bit more built up here but we saw some beautiful houses along the way. The weather was a mixture of sun and rain for most of the day. We took cover in a American style diner during one down pour and had coffee. Later we were treated to dramatic skies with sun and a rainbow.
I didn’t take many photographs today on my small blog camera because I was having so much fun playing with the donated manual lens so most pictures from today will appear once I’m home.
We reached Fränsta quite late and managed to get a last night room at a hostel style accommodation. We went to shop to buy food and then has a much needed shower and dinner.
My leg was hurting so badly at the end of today, where it joins my pelvis. It’s a worry but hopefully it will feel better tomorrow.
